This vase, dried arrangements, has been turned from Figured/“Burly” Myrtle [Umbellularia californica (family Myrtaceae)] and African Blackwood Myrtle is wide-ranging and subtle in color and figuration, and its burl form is an exceptionally beautiful wood. It is native to California and Oregon.
The crown to this turning has a very small opening; this allow even the most slender of grasses to be held upright
