Makore (Tieghemella heckelii) is a beautiful wood from Western and Middle Africa (from Sierra Leone to Gabon), with distinctive, sometime figured vertical grain pattens. It is a reddish brown, with only some color variation. It has good natural luster and takes a fine finish.
