DISPLAY TURNING TURNED FROM GOLD MALLEE BURL (AUSTRALIA)

This display turning has been made from a gorgeous piece of Gold Mallee Burl from Australia. Gold Mallee (Eucalyptus dumosa) actually comes from one of the many species of Eucalyptus trees native to Australia. It has fantastic figure and color, one of the great turning woods of the world. Mallee Burls are quite expensive and extremely difficult to work, as they are extremely hard and heavy. But the expense and effort are well worth it!
